News < Back Compliance : Sarbanes Oxley : Technology : Data Center Therese Tucker Honoured for Outstanding Individual Achievement Financial software company also shortlisted in three categories recognising benefits, ROI its SaaS-based financial close suite brings to global clients
BlackLine Systems CEO Therese Tucker was honoured recently at the 2014 FSTech Awards in London with the ‘Barry Holland Memorial Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement’ – recognising the Los Angeles-based software company founder for her accomplishments building BlackLine from the ground up into the leader in its space . The enterprise-class financial close software provider was shortlisted in three additional categories -- Cloud Computing Innovation of the Year, Online Technology Provider of the Year and Best Use of IT in Insurance --highlighting the benefits and ROI the company’s flagship Financial Close Suite has brought to accountancy departments across the globe, and specifically to insurance industry clients in Europe. The annual awards programme, hosted by FSTech (formerly Financial Sector Technology) magazine, boasts sponsors including BT, Atos and China Telecom. The awards recognise innovation and excellence in information technology within the financial services fields in the United Kingdom (UK) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Accountancy/finance managers and compliance executives around the world use BlackLine’s SaaS-based offering to automate traditionally manual, labour-intensive and spreadsheet-driven account reconciliation and financial close processes. The entries for each of the shortlisted categories showcased how BlackLine has transformed crucial processes for accounts staff through automation. Many of the tasks performed by accountancy departments are time-consuming, rote activities, often open to errors through manual data entry. By developing the first software of its kind designed to automate these critical accounting processes, BlackLine Systems has helped to improve the lives of accountants in the UK, EMEA and globally. The company opened offices in London in 2012. UK-based clients include British Gas, Camelot UK Lotteries, QBE Management Services UK and Tate & Lyle. BlackLine’s award entries highlighted its work with insurance industry client and one of Europe’s most trusted financial services providers Achmea, on track for its 2014 targets following the BlackLine implementation. The FSTech Awards ceremony was held at the Lancaster Hotel, London, on 27th March. Though ERP-agnostic, the BlackLine Financial Close Suite for SAP® Solutions is an SAP-endorsed business solution – joining the ranks of fewer than 40 other software offerings globally that are endorsed by the enterprise application software leader. BlackLine also is an SAP Gold Partner. BlackLine offers clients its enterprise-class financial software in a simple and secure SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform. With a proven track record and a commitment to customer success, BlackLine seeks to reduce the burden the financial close places on accounting and finance professionals. BlackLine headquarters are in Los Angeles, with offices in Atlanta, Chicago, London, Melbourne, New York City and Sydney to serve the company’s growing global client base. |
